POWERS: Storm has the ability to control the elements, and is to some degree atuned to them.

Storm was recruited as one of Professor X's "new" X-Men when she was worshipped as a weather goddess in Africa, and she has served on the team almost continuously since. When Cyclops left to join X-Factor, Ororo took over as leader, and remained leader of the Gold Team when Scott returned. Now, with their number reduced to eight, Storm once again leads the X-men, watching over them alongside Wolverine.
