REAL NAME: Katherine "Kitty" Pryde

POWERS: Kitty has the ability to alter her molecules, as well as the molecules of other people and objects, rendering them intangible. This is an ability she uses to "phase" through solid objects.

Kitty was only 13 when she joined the X-Men, and remained a long time member. She was loved by all the others, and even began to develop feelings for Colossus, when tragedy struck, and she believed her teammates to be dead, with her and Nightcrawler seriously injured after the attack during the "Mutant Massacre". With the X-Men believed dead, she and Kurt relocated to England, and with Captain Britain, Meggan, and Phoenix, they formed Excalibur. Kitty remained a long time member, and even had a relationship with Pete Wisdom. Shortly after the two broke up, Excalibur was disbanded, and Shadowcat, along with Nightcrawler and Colossus, went back to the X-Men. She now remains an active member of the team.
