The orphaned Jubilee used her mutant power to survive living on the streets, until fate, and the mutant Gateway, placed her at the X-Men's doorstep. She became instantly attached to Wolverine, after saving him from the Reavers, and the two have watched out for each other ever since. After a long period living in Xavier's mansion as one of the X-Men, Xavier transferred her to the Massachusetts Academy, upon the formation of Generation X.
